内容紹介：

　旧地質調査所によって1986年9月に日御碕沖・鳥取沖の日本海において実施されたGH86-4航海で採取された6個のコア試料と5個のドレッジ試料について珪藻化石分析を行った。4個のコア試料と、1個のドレッジ試料から珪藻化石が産出した。化石帯指標種の産出がほとんどないため、珪藻化石帯の認定はいずれの試料でもできなかったが、産出年代が判明しているその他の外洋性種によって、各試料に対しておおよその堆積年代を与えることができた。

Contents:

　We conducted diatom fossil analyses on six core samples and five dredge samples collected during the GH86-4 cruise, which was conducted by the former Geological Survey of Japan in September 1986 in the Sea of Japan off the coasts of Hinomisaki and Tottori. Diatom fossils were recovered from four core samples and one dredge sample. Since almost no index species were found, it was not possible to define diatom zones for any of the samples; however, based on other pelagic species with known ages, approximate depositional ages could be assigned to each sample.
