  A leading quarry in Iwase town, Ibaraki Prefecture, producing about 1 million tons of aggregate yearly which consists mainly of sandstone from Jurassic Yamizo Group. From the surface, forest soil (2-3m), weathered bedrock (10-50m) and fresh bedrock is observed in a vertical range of about 200m.
