Fatal errors in isotopic analyses data of hydrogen and oxygen used in several publications of Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ) have been reported.
A chemical analysis service company that GSJ had asked analyses of water samples made an announcement that it had made fatal errors in isotopic analyses of hydrogen and oxygen, and it affects several publications of GSJ.
At this moment, it has been confirmed that (at least) the following publications include erroneous results.
Water Environment Map Series:
- no.1 Sendai Plain
- no.2 Akita Plain
- no.4 Nobi Plain
- no.5 Chikushi Plain
- no.6 Yamagata Basin
As an emergency measure, we have suspended the distribution and sales of these publications
We are now identifying any other publications of GSJ that can be affected by the erroneous analyses, and will report the results as soon as possible.
