GSJ Webinar on Practical Geological Survey Techniques 2021
- Application to Geological Disaster Mitigation -
28-30 June, 5-7 July, 12- 14 July 2021, Online

Summary Report

We held GSJ Webinar on Practical Geological Survey Techniques - Application to Geological Disaster Mitigation – from June 28 to July 14, 2021.

The purpose of this webinar is upskilling of young researchers in the east and southeastern Asian countries.

In 2021, we held the webinar online based on lecture and practical training. This year, 30 young researchers or engineers who are in charge of geological work from the seven CCOP member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Thailand) participated in the Webinar. This webinar consists of three courses: lectures about geological disaster mitigation and two training courses for GIS and remote sensing. In addition to 13 researchers in GSJ, two guests from a university and a private company served as lecturers.

In the end, we would like to express our gratitude to those who participated in and supported the webinar: the lecturers, the staffs, and the contributors to GeoBank.
