The History of the Earth and Living Creatures

This is the history of evolution. The history of the earth is divided into the Precambrian Eon, the Paleozoic Era, the Mesozoic Era, and the Cenozoic Era, in accordance with the life forms that prospered during these times. From the time the earth was formed 4.6 billion years ago, up until around 540 million years ago, there were no life forms on earth with hard shells. This period is known as the Precambrian Eon. During the Paleozoic Era, pteridophytes, trilobites and fusulinids among others flourished. It was the gymnosperms plants, ammonites and dinosaurs that flourished during the Mesozoic Era. Now, in the Cenozoic Era, it is the angiosperms plants and mammals—including humans—that are flourishing. The history of human beings began with the appearance of ape-men around 7 million years ago. Neanderthals are homogenous species which appeared 2 hundred-thousand years ago, and became extinct over 20 thousand years ago.
