How mineral deposits are formed

Places enriched with minerals of economic value are called ore deposits. Various resources which support our daily living are extracted from ore deposits as mineral resources. Said mineral resources are divided into two categories; namely, metal mineral resources from which metals are extracted, and non-metal mineral resources whose physical and chemical characteristics are utilized and are put to use in their natural state. This is an illustration replicating how the various ore deposits found in Japan were created. The exhibit also includes pictures of ore deposits as found in the mines, as well as actual mineral specimens.
