 Publication of Geological Map of Japan
Geological Survey of Japan (GSJ) has engaged in the making and publishing of variety of the Geological maps in Japan.
Geological Maps are classified into two types as follows.
- Nationwide series under the defined size and scale
(QUADRANGLE SERIES 1:50,000, GEOLOGICAL SHEET MAP 1:200,000, MARINE GEOLOGY MAP, etc.)
- Regional series for specific aim
(GEOLOGICAL MAPS OF VOLCANOES, STRIP MAP OF THE FAULT SYSTEM, MISCELLANEOUS MAP, etc.)
Geological Maps of GSJ have usually been published in printed. Today, some of them are supplied as CD-ROM.
